1. Only simple minded people can be hypnotized.
2. Only intelligent people can be hypnotised.
3. If someone resists the hypnotist they cannot be hypnotized
4. Nobody can be hypnotized without their knowledge
5. Some people cannot be hypnotized at all
6. Successful hypnosis requires a peaceful quiet situation
7. A hypnotist cannot make someone do something which is against their natural moral code
8. You cannot hypnotize someone to become more successful
9. You cannot hypnotize someone to become more healthy [unless, of course they are suffering from a psycho-somatic condition]
10.Some people are easier to hypnotize than others.

O.K. ... we could have gone on but the above ten are enough to be going on with, for now. So, which of the above are true and which are false?

Assertions 1 through 9 are all false.

Number 10 is true; some people are easier to hypnotize than others. Examples of these people are, members of the armed forces, the police, individuals with above average intelligence, and salespeople. The reasons why they are more easily hypnotized is that service personnel and police officers are more used in their everyday life to accepting orders. They are in that way, pre-conditioned to an extent to states of hynosis.

Individuals with above average intelligence [or some artistic ability] tend to be able to imagine things in their mind more easily and are, therefore excellent subjects for the hypnotist's descriptions of events. People engaged in sales tend to be conditioned to encouraging people to buy things. part of that training rubs off on them making them easier to sell to!
